A simple, filter-free setup
This review covers the black Honeywell Ultra Comfort HUL545B, Amazon ASIN B09G8R3KNY. Amazon and the Honeywell Store list a 1-gallon reservoir, visible cool mist and adjustable manual mist control. The absence of a replacement filter removes one recurring item from the routine, but the tank and base still need regular care according to the supplied manual.
Capacity and overnight expectations
One US gallon is approximately 3.8 liters. Honeywell Store specifies up to 36 hours of operation on the lowest setting, with automatic shutoff when the tank is empty. Higher output can shorten the interval between refills. The product is described for medium-sized rooms; we do not infer a square-foot coverage figure or claim to have validated it in a test room.
Mist direction, fragrance and cleaning
The dual-direction outlet lets you aim the visible mist, while a wide tank opening and included brush provide access for filling and cleaning. A dedicated essential-oil tray keeps fragrance separate from the water reservoir. Honeywell Store specifically warns against adding oils or liquid inhalants to the tank or base. The sources do not identify this model as a top-fill design, so we do not describe it that way.
What to weigh against the alternatives
The observed Amazon price was $49.99 on October 25, 2026. That is above the compact Levoit and DREO models in this set, but below the connected 6.2 L Levoit. Choose it for the documented filter-free design and simple controls, rather than an assumed advantage in noise or humidification. The ultra-quiet description is a supplier claim; we have not measured this unit or assigned it a test score.
Is it the right fit?
Consider it if…
Buyers seeking a filter-free cool-mist unit with manual controls and a separate fragrance tray.
Look elsewhere if…
Anyone who wants app schedules, a verified humidistat or independently measured quietness.
