A different Levoit generation
The 6.2 L Amazon listing matches the NeoClassic 650S manufacturer's specifications: 320 ml/h output, up to 536 sq ft advertised coverage and up to 62 hours of runtime. It is not the older 6 L Classic 300S. Its specifications and the manufacturer's product photograph are kept separate from older-model reviews.
The value of connected controls
VeSync app and voice controls make scheduling and remote changes possible, while Auto Mode aims to hold a target humidity. The listing claims sensor accuracy within ±5%. This is a manufacturer claim, not a measurement of real-world humidity stability. Placement, airflow and sensor location can still affect the result in a room.
Read the cleaning instructions closely
The Amazon instructions explicitly say that only the detachable tray is dishwasher-safe, on the top rack with mild detergent and no heated drying. The tank and silencer cover are hand-wash only. The manufacturer's short product description is broader, so this guide follows the more specific restriction and recommends confirming the manual supplied with your exact unit.
What the premium buys
The extra spend buys a larger reservoir and connected controls; it does not establish a superior measured humidity increase. Levoit recommends purified or distilled water, and the removable components still need routine care. If you only want occasional manual humidification, the less expensive options in this shortlist may be sufficient.
Is it the right fit?
Consider it if…
Buyers who want app scheduling, automatic humidity control and a larger cool-mist reservoir.
Look elsewhere if…
Small-space buyers who do not need connected features, or anyone expecting the entire tank to be dishwasher-safe.
